Cell phone manufacturers like Samsung would stop at nothing to improve and upgrade the functionality and technology of cell phones. Together with a popular technology company, 3M, the two companies device a cell phone that comes with a mini projector.

You can view pictures and watch videos on your cell phone. With a mini projector, information and entertainment has come to a higher level. 3M has been working on this project for a long time and is set to offer this multimedia peripheral sometime this year. The mini projector would come with Samsung cell phones. The details of this media gadget are not yet announced in full detail. The mini projector would either be built in the cell phone or would just be a peripheral attachment. The question of which Samsung cell phones would be compatible with the said technology is yet to be answered.

What would a mini-projector exactly do? It can project and use videos and images from your Samsung phone and show enlarged versions of them on the floor, canvas or wall. The device itself is about the size of a camera phone mechanism. George Buckley, 3M CEO, declared that they have plans to commercialize and expand the cell phone mini projectors.

The mini projectors on cell phones would definitely be an added functionality that a lot of people can take advantage of, especially those who are in the corporate world. This would be handy during presentations. Say goodbye to bulky portable projectors and say hello to mobile mini projectors. This useful gadget has a high price tag to it, it can sell anywhere from $200 to $400.
