A Radio and Cell Phone Rolled into one by Sony Ericsson

There are two new cellular wireless phones that have been introduced by Sony Ericsson, the R306 Radio and the R300 Radio. Both can deliver the experience of listening to a mobile radio. This product is now being launched in newer mobile phone markets like India.

According to Sony Ericsson’s Head and Vice President of Entry Level Products, Howard Lewis, the R306 Radio as well as the R300 Radio allows the mobile phone user to be attuned to their favorite radio station and music in both AM broadcast and FM broadcast. In fact, Sony Ericsson has made these two mobile phones to look, feel, and sound exactly the same way as a radio does, plus all the updated features for the cell phone which may be of the clamshell type or the candy bar.

These two cell phones, R306 Radio and R300 Radio, have designs that make it similar in look as a radio. When the R306 Radio is laid on its side, and the volume pumped up, it can act as a radio with a stereo loudspeaker.

Just like a radio boom box, there are buttons strategically placed at the front side of both these cell phones by Sony Ericsson for ease in switching radio channels and stations. Even the volume can be brought way up for others to hear the music or the sports news with just a small click of a button.

The Sony Ericsson R300 Radio and Sony Ericsson R306 Radio mobile phones can also be utilized as your handy alarm clock. You can also make a copy of the winning moments in a great game by your favorite team and listen to the commentary again and again. If a favorite song is played over the radio, this can be recorded and made to be your mobile phone’s ring tone.

Most feature packed cell phones by Sony Ericsson utilize the feature TrackID. This same feature is now present on these two cell phones, which is treated as a standard feature. With the TrackID feature, a part of a memorable song can be recorded using an exterior source, like a stereo or sound system found in a bar or coffee shop, then in only a few seconds, you can get to know who the recording artist is, the track name as well as to which album the song belonged to.

The users of Sony Ericsson R300 Radio can listen to music using the headphones provided by the manufacturer, or just turn up the volume and listen to your preferred radio station via the excellent speakers that are capable of performing extremely well. It also contains a sound enhancement feature for 3D sound or boosting the volume using an key to enhance the audio on the mobile phone.

The Sony Ericsson R306 Radio has a clamshell casing integrated with two stereo speakers which open up to face the listener. This mobile phone also has an Audio Enhancer key wherein music lovers can boost the volume to loud levels via the speakers or enhancing the 3D sound experience using the headphones which also give out stereo enhanced sounds that block out any external disturbances or noise. You can see what station you are tuned in on the external display panel.

Both have Bluetooth connectivity, for a hands free call experience. The R300 Radio has a VGA camera and the R306 has a 1.3 megapixel camera built in their respective cellphones.
