French service provider Alcatel is bringing over its handsets to North America.

Alcatel Mobile will be launching its presence in the North American later in March through partner Cellatel. Alcaltel's cell phones including GSM/EDGE phones will provide a lower and mid range option for consumers.



Cellatel trialled several of its "E Series" phones with Cingular last summer, but we don't know if Cingular will carry any of the handsets. Alcatel Mobile and Cellatel are targeting the MVNO market and will offer branding/customization services, as well as logistics, support and marketing.
