Apple Cuts Cost of iPhone and Sends Rebates- Why?
Most of you cell phone junkies have heard that iPhone is now cheaper, by about 200 bucks. That's all fine and dandy to me, (maybe there economics are a bit screwed though lowering so early). Thing is, apparently tons of customers who recently purchased their phone are seething. They feel ripped off (out of 200 bucks). Apple's response? A 100 rebate for early adopters, those who picked up their phone before the price cut (more details on their web site: http://www.apple.com/hotnews/openiphoneletter/).
Wait a minute, let me get this straight....
First off, you got the iPhone early so you could be the first on the block with the new phone. Now because the price has dropped you've been ripped off somehow and deserve a refund? I can understand if you just bought the phone within 30 days or something you may feel ripped off. Any time before that then who cares?! Regular market pressures, no rebate should be offered in my opinion. Apple customers should feel lucky they get anything.....iPhone snobs.
