AT&T Adds 3G Cell Sites in Key Biscayne and Downtown Miami

AT&T continues to provide 3G connection all over America. Last November 28, 2007, it has opened to two new cell sites, specifically in Miami and Key Biscayne.

The recent cell site in Key Biscayne, particularly in Ocean Drive, shall provide wireless connection to areas located at the east. Coverage shall also include residences and offices that can be found in Seaview Drive on the south, Heather Drive on the north, and Crandon Boulevard on the west.

In one of the most sought-after cities of Florida, meanwhile, a newer cellular site is in place in Miami. It can provide Internet connection to any establishments that are located in South Biscayne Boulevard, Southeast Second Avenue, and Northeast First Street. This is a welcome addition to the already 35 other cellular sites that are scattered all over the counties of Broward and Miami-Dade.

There are many benefits that these areas can get from the wireless broadband connectivity offered by AT&T. This includes an impressive download speed between 600 and 1,400 kbps. Thus, business owners and families can perform live video sharing, as well as take advantage of the Mobile Music technology of AT&T, which also allows them to listen and save all of the latest music wirelessly.

According to the general manager and vice president for Wireless Operations of AT&T in South Florida, Rich Guidotti, it is the goal of the company to combine technology and innovation in order to provide a unique and enriching wireless experience for all their customers. Their connection will not only give them ample power to perform basic functions such as browsing without the use of cables, but they can even load themselves with the various entertainment packages without any hassle.

So far, South Florida’s AT&T has already invested over $500 million just for the expansion of 3G network in majority of its areas. The newer sites have also cost them a staggering $133 million, with the hope of improving the already existing coverage of all their subscribers. Besides South Florida, there are already over 220 key cities all over the United States that have benefited on the continuously improving technology that can only come from AT&T.
