Over ten million subscribers of AT&T Broadband will now experience unlimited access to the biggest Wi-Fi network of AT&T for free. This means that they will get to save about $60 which amounts to huge savings of almost $240 annually as compared to those with subscriptions to AT&T Wi-Fi but without an AT&T Broadband subscription.

This move of AT&T to give free Wi-Fi access to their Broadband subscribers is part of their plan to add to the value of their broadband services so that their subscribers will stay connected all the time. This also reflects an increase in the demand and use of wireless devices such as the PDA and the iPhone, whose popularity is seen in over a third of the population who have Internet access using a wireless connection at any location they are. This offer for free access to Wi-Fi is available to all subscribers of the Broadband services of AT&T, both loyal and new, with speeds reaching 1.5Mbps, 6.0 Mbps, or 3.0 Mbps. Customers whose broadband subscription was of the higher speed had the opportunity to experience Wi-Fi access for free last year.

The wireless Internet connectivity services of AT&T extend to over 10,000 locations in the US mainland. This means that even retail stores, airports and restaurants have wireless Internet access.
