The City of Calgary in Canada selected Bell to provide and put into operations a security solution, covering all organizations that will allow them to create a defense against threats from the internet including files containing malicious content.

Bell will enable the monitoring of websites and blocking dangerous threats from these sites, which include an extensive list of malware that may be downloaded not only from the internet but from wireless devices and other online gadgets that are used online. Because of this, productivity will be increased since these things that consume much of their time online are also removed.

The Vendor Relations Supervisor of the City of Calgary, Terry Brow said that they are looking forward to having a more secure and active Internet and network experience with the help of Bell. Even the Bell’s Western Region President Charles W. Brown agrees, saying that the solution will definitely make their online environment one that is safe, secure, and dynamic. It will definitely benefit all employees as well as the network security of the City.

After a long deliberation on who to choose for this project, the awarding of this contract to Bell is considered to be an ICT or Information and Communications Technology win for the company, Bell, in Alberta.

According to Brown, the fact that they were chosen for this project proves that they have the ability to do it properly and efficiently.
