Palm's next Treo device, the Palm Centro, aka the "Gandolf" or "Treo 800" is a tiny Treo running Palm OS, that is a sure fire thing to flop. It will come out first on the Sprint CDMA network but pictures so far show a one of the smallest QWERTY keyboards ever. No male with opposing thumbs will be able to type successfully. Surely they thought about this?

What's with Microsoft? I know they do good with Windows, hey, that's their niche, that's their market, they should be leading. However, when it comes to competitive advantages for EVERYTHING else Microsoft is WAY behind the game.

Case in point the Xbox 360 v PS2. After that debacle they came out earlier to beat PS3 but not Wii. Now consider iPhone vs. whatever Microsoft smartphone comes out much much later. Engadget has a report on the trend.
