Liberty Travel Extends Contract with AT&T for Enhanced Data and Network Services

There will be further expansion of the contract between AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) and Lib/Go Travel, Liberty Travel and Gogo Worldwide Vacations, the top company in the travel industry. The new contract will ensure that AT&T will be the implementer and manager of Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-enabled network services- together with the resiliency solutions-for the more than 230 retail locations of Liberty. The existing six year relationship between AT&T and Liberty Travel has actually been extended by the contract for another three years.

A top executive from Yahoo announced that the company would soon offer their services to mobile users. They are looking at offering their services even to those consumers who already have Google applications on their phones. Yahoo would also work with Apple iPhone's system to be able to make their services useful and available to a wider range of consumers.

Verizon Wireless Files Lawsuit against Alltel Corp.

Verizon Wireless is accusing Alltel Corp, the no. 5 wireless carrier in the country, of false advertising. According to the lawsuit which was filed in the federal court in Richmond, VA., only Alltel provides wireless customers a way to modify their calling plans without the need to extend the term of their contracts.
