DiscussWireless Phone Stories Continued - LG 3200
Regular users like you are taking part in our phone stories series. No matter the phone, no matter the age, we're asking you to have your say on the great and bad things about it. If you want to participate then just post a comment and we'll get in touch with you. Without further ado here is a commentary on the old but semi-reliable LG
1. Your vitals:
Name: Slammin Sammy Sosa
Your phone: LG C3200
Years you’ve owned: 2
Service provider: Telus Mobility (Canada CDMA)
2. What made you choose your current phone? Was it size, colour, features, look, etc.?
It was cheap and shiny. Seemed like a good deal.
3. Were you looking for some specific feature in your phone?
Buttons.
4. What kind of plan do you have? How much are your service fees (not your plan, but the phantom service fees providers charge)?
The service fees aren't bad. I mean, they have to charge random fees so the company can throw huge employee parties where everyone gets plastered and goes streaking. It's good for business.
5. What are the key features you use regularly? What kind of additional features do you think are cool on your phone?
I use the phone. Isn't that a feature? (We suppose.)
6. What kind of messaging features do you use? Do you think it’s easy and convenient?
I didn't even know what T9 word was until yesterday. Imagine my surprise.
7. Tell me about the cool things you like about your phone (the pros).
It's streamlined, scratch free, coloured screen, and it had jaunty little ring tones.
8. Any feature missing that you would have liked (the cons). Any features available but don’t work as well as you’d like?
Nope, it was a simple phone.
9. When will you buy a new phone and will you stick with a similar brand and type?
Probably not.
10. With the service provider at the time you owned your phone did you get reliable service?
They were reliably difficult to deal with.
11. Ever had a weird phone call, wrong number?
I'm always getting calls for Fred. My name isn't Fred. (True story.)
12. Tells about the most important time your phone came in handy.
When my car broke down. Well, it would have been handy had it been charged.
13. Do you have a favourite picture taken with your phone or wallpaper? (If so, please attach!)
Only nude photos. And I've already posted them on the interweb. Kidding.
14. Additional thoughts?
I think phones should be done away with, and we should concentrate our efforts on the refinement of telepathy. Honestly, the phone was simple and never 'broke down'. It did what it was supposed to do reliable, and that was make calls.
