Cell phones have crossed borders. Today, they have become more of a necessity rather than a luxurious item you only have to purchase when you have the money to burn. It allows you to communicate to people that mean most to you—your family, friends, and even your business partners and clients. With its added technology, such as Wi-Fi, you can basically connect to the Internet wirelessly. The bottom line is a cell phone makes life so much convenient and comfortable.



That’s why you also need to learn how to take care of it, especially its batteries. It they don’t work too well, then definitely, your mobile phone won’t also function effectively. It’s either you can no longer turn it on, or you will be instantly cut off in the middle of a conversation.
Majority of cell phone batteries today are composed of lithium ions. They make cell phone’s weight much lighter, and they’re also easier to maintain. However, they can also suffer from a problem called memory effect. What happens is that the battery will forget its ability to fully recharge if you keep on charging your phone at partial discharge. There will come a time when you can no longer recharge it. ?

There are different ways on how you can further extend the life of your battery:

1. Avoid storing them in moist places. Moisture can seep in to your battery, and you are definitely aware that it’s their no. 1 enemy. If you don’t want to render your batter inutile, keep it in a dry place.

2. It may also help if you can store your battery in a cold place. It will truly extend the life of your battery, and you can have more use of your cell phone by then.

3. Turn it off. It’s more than unlikely that you would eventually consider this, but it’s only practical. After all, the more you use it, the more you’re draining its batteries.

4. Don’t use too much wallpaper and screensaver. They look pretty on your mobile phone, but the truth is they are one of the most common things that can drain the power of your battery. Moreover, if you’re utilizing your mobile phone by daytime, learn to lower down or even turn off your brightness level.

5. Check the manufacturing date. It can also help a lot if you will keep track on the manufacturing date of your cell phones even before you think of buying it. This is because an average lithium-ion battery is only good for about 5 years.

6. Follow the manual. Don’t ever learn to ignore the cell phone’s manual. In fact, check it the moment you get hold of your mobile phone. This way, you’ll be provided with tips on how you can effectively charge your cellphone batteries.
