Samsung joined in the bandwagon of cell phone manufacturers that offers Mobile TV Service. Samsung would soon launch one of the firsts handsets that come with Mobile TV- the Samsung Access. Would-be owners of this sleek phone can have entertainment on the go, wherever you may be. You would no longer miss your favorite sports show or be behind in news and events in the country. With Mobile TV, you got entertainment and information right at the palm of your hands.

The Samsung SGH-A827, known as the Access, would be initially distributed exclusively by AT&T. The Samsung Access is no iPhone when it comes to the size of its display screen. It only has a 2.3-inch colored display that you can also use in landscape mode. Samsung brags of its viewing experience as comparable to DVD quality. AT&T promises to offer high quality programming with SGH-A827 but critics would say otherwise because of its relatively small screen and its compact bar type handset.

The Samsung Access is more than Mobile TV. It is also a camera phone with 1.3 megapixel and can double up as a camcorder. It has Bluetooth capabilities and you can expand its storage capacity with via a microSD. It's a dual band 3G and quad band GSM phone that is sure to create a following among gadget lovers.

The Samsung Access also shares the centerstage with LG Vu in being two of the firsts handsets from AT&T to offer mobile TV. Gadget speculators thought that the LG Vu would be the pioneer handset to offer AT&T mobile TV, but it turns out that such privilege was shared with SGH-A827. Compared to the LG Vu, Samsung access is much slimmer. This handset also has a one-touch button that would allow users to directly access AT&T Mobile TV service with just a single clikc. Some of the channels that you will get to watch on your Access phone include Comedy Central, CBS, ESPN and other sports and entertainment channels.

The price of the Samsung is yet to be disclosed but it would surely hit AT&T stores by the month of May.
