It an attempt to do some more reviewing of related products DiscussWireless has both offered marketers the opportunity to feature their products online here (we'll review it free of charge) and/or we'll review your product through the blog as a 'paid for post'. Basically how it works is we review the web site/ product and you pay us! But how does that help our readers? Quite frankly, anybody can pay us to review their product, but we don't guarantee a positive review! If you're product is solid then by all means we'll report it as such, if there are negative things we'll note that as well.

One of the opportunities we use to talk about other products is the blog network Payperpost. There is a network of web sites that are looking for bloggers to review or chat about their web site or product. The premise works great, but there are some things I'd like to see changed.

The idea is you make money for taking 'opportunities' to post other people's stuff. It's an advertising network with a spin to put a more natural flare on promotion. Compared to other 'review' blog opportunities I feel the learning curve is a bit high with Parperpost. Having said that, if you have a great blog the chance of making some good cash is high. Conversely, that's also a problem, you have to have great PR in order to get some more and higher paying opportunities.

If you've just started with PPP you'll only have a handful (maybe 6) opportunities in your related field which when it comes down to it is not related at all. Finding cellular related web sites right off the bat is pretty much non-existent. Our web site jumps between PR 4 and PR 5, the majority of great opportunities are reserved for web sites with a Google PageRank of 6. That's stupid in my opinion, discriminating based on an inaccurate and old (as in not current) metric in Google PR.

The other metric they use is Alexa score which anybody and any marketer will tell you is a poor and inaccurate measurement. I guess there aren't any other scores/metric that are any better, but I wish there was a better system to judge the validity of web sites.... But then again, that would probably take some form of disclosure from web sites (page views, visits, etc.)

When you have a worthy blog it's certainly worth it, you'll make great cash. If you have a normal blog like 90% of bloggers then PPP does not have the huge opportunities waiting for you.
