Europeans are more interested in new gadgets more than Americans, but they depend on choice. Europeans are not much in favor of Apple’s iphone named cachet as Americans. A London based analyst Goode says that this is not good news for Apple. This has happened according to him because most Europeans prefer prepaid services and thus they get such MP3 gadgets free of charge and wouldn’t prefer to go to buy one in the market, in this regard therefore they prefer Nokia’s N95 for free . 3G data speed is missing in the Apple iphones and the users of Apple are mostly 3G subscribers. The major hindrance in Apple’s success in this regard is not having HSDPA.

Sony also bound to feel the pressure since it’s walkmans and iphones have the same problems according to Goode. This pressure is felt by Nokia too after Sony according to him.

Pete Cunningham says iphones main competitor is it’s sister product closely related to it only, the ipod touch, which is almost similar to it, only that it doesn’t have a telephone service or a service contract.

The final straw came when Apple had no choice but to launch this new device because people in Europe are preferring to but mobile phones based on the flexibility offered by the MP3 players on their mobiles.
