Motorola Announces New Phones for Music Fans, Mobile Film Enthusiasts, the Fashion Set And the Budget-Conscious

Techs over at Motorola are encouraging people to say “Hello” to two different kinds of phones as the mobile giant's latest offerings. These two new units are targeting the ever-growing pool of mobile film enthusiasts and music fanatics – especially those who've worshiped the ground on which Motorola's famous Rokr series – a fave among the DJ set, especially – walked. In addition, the lower-end W series will also present to the market two new offerings.

For the new Moto Z10, ergonomics is the name of the game. Don't be fooled by the mechanism of this kick slider unit – its innovative design captures ergonomic sensibilities in one fluid package. Not only is it an aesthetically pleasing slider gadget, but it’s also got a few impressive mobile offerings of its own. It comes with options for capturing, editing and putting together videos which as of late is a very popular way of expressing one's self. It really does come as no surprise that Motorola decided to fuel-pack this nifty gadget by banking on the current generation's need to express themselves in whatever form available. And what's more fun than toting around a mobile phone that can actually help you achieve such an artistic expression?

The Rokr E8 gives one the opportunity to merge music and basic phone functions without having to switch from one to the other. Its unique “Mode Shift” technology allows the user to groove to the beat, take a call and then bounce to the music without missing a beat. Other great features include a 'Fast scroll” navigation for effortlessly breezing through the menu, a tactile feedback for virtual keys and a crystal clear voice quality for calls.

In Motorola's economy series W, the W230 and the W270 are two great phones (candybar and clamshell types respectively) one with a “tight” budget might consider getting – without missing out features-wise.

Meanwhile, fans of Motorola's Razr series will find another excuse to save up for the next in line to the Razr throne. The company announced that they have made available the Moto Razr2 V8 Luxury Edition handset in the US – but only through the vendor's online store. Think glamorous and luxurious as this new handset is covered in 18- or 24-carat gold plating, retailing for around $680. It seems that Motorola is trying to match one of it's competitor's luxury phone arena – namely, Nokia Corporation's highly-coveted and ever-elegant Vertu fashion handset.

To add more toppings to the ever-growing line f delectable delights, Motorola also announced that it is going to introduce a whole new line of accessories for the new handsets – a line which includes the latest S9-HD Bluetooth headset as well. The company failed to disclose further details as to the actual prices and distribution of these new handsets (save for the Razr2 V8 Luxury Edition), as is the usual tactic of mobile phone giants to stir up curiosity and let the hunt and the mad rush to snag one (or perhaps, several) of these new babies begin.

Critics are quick to point out that unlike other mobile giants, Motorola has failed to innovate their handsets feature-wise – that the company has been constantly coming up with the same phone modified every so slightly each time there is a new model. Critics are wondering when Motorola will come out with sleek and sexy Motos that also say “Hello” to more advanced features like a 5-megapixel camera.
