Seeing the consumer's clamor for portable television right in their cell phones, Motorola joins the trend and gives it customers on-the go TV viewing wherever they may be. This is Motorola's way to get a share on the market of TV fanatics worldwide.

Motorola, who's ranking third in the list of big cell phone manufacturers, is proud to launch its DHO1 device at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Aside from playing live television shows, the new Motorola mobile device can also play popular video clips and TV programs that cell phone users save on their video recorders.

Mobile TV is Motorola's new move in attracting more consumers to grab one of their mobile phones. Nokia, LG and Samsung had started the trend in mobile TV and Motorola is set to follow the trend. Motorola is out to get a market share of present handlers of mobile TV all over the world.

Unlike the celebrated iPhone, Motorola handsets can actually support live television and not just downloaded videos from the Internet. Live television obviously has a following and Motorola is willing to take advantage of that present market. Although marketers would are evaluating if consumers would want a stand-alone iPod-like gadget with live TV, cell phone manufacturers are making a bold step in cultivating present mobile phone users to enjoy mobile TV. Motorola would soon sell handset with Mobile TV capabilities to network stations, electronics stores and wireless carriers.

The Motorola DH01 has a 4.3-inch video screen enough to enjoy a run of the latest music videos on television. Another unique feature of mobile TV is that you can actually pause live viewing for five minutes max, which you cannot normally do on your home television. You can watch uninterrupted live TV for full four hours. If you wanted to save up videos, you can store up to 90 minutes of good TV with an extra memory card. Motorola DH01 is compatible with the standard broadcast technology for most cell phones- the DVBH.

Motorola DH01 is currently available in Italy and Finland and is soon to be available in Europe.
