The Nokia N Series devices will now be able to browse and view clips from YouTube via a preloaded Web browser dubbed the Nokia Video Center.

The YouTube deal encourages users to access Web-based videos from their handsets, according to Torsti Tenhunen, Nokia’s director of mobile TV and video consumption. The initial offering—a stripped-down version of YouTube's clips that is scheduled to be expanded eventually—will be available to users in Europe and Asia before coming to market in North America.



The browser will be embedded on the Nokia N95; the company said “most of the new Nokia N Series devices” eventually will feature the Nokia Video Center.
