Nokia to Formally Launch Its Newest User-Generated Service for MOSH Called SEEK

Nokia has just keeps getting better. Innovation being one of the keys for the company’s success, Nokia designers have introduced SEEK, which is considered to be the third installment for the constant development of MOSH, its mobile-sharing website. It aims to promote a more interactive experience for all of the community’s members. What basically happens is that all users can “seek” for whatever material they couldn’t find in the World Wide Web or things that they are desperately looking for. Then, other members will try to pool resources that can help answer the items that are being sought for. This way, resources become more customized and are more fitting to the mobile needs of SEEK users.

Lee Epting, Forum Nokia’s vice president believes that SEEK is going to gather all of its users together and build their own community. The recent innovation will also be an answer to the growing needs of its users for more user-generated feedback. He further hopes that SEEK will not limit the demands and desires of its members. They can collaborate with major developers found in various points in the world for software applications. They can truly explore their creativity while bringing mobile customization to a different level.

SEEK is known to be the third development for MOSH, which stands for mobilize and share. Ever since the forum has been launched in beta during August 9, there were already over 6 million downloads. MOSH has almost perfected the craft of combining mobility and Web technology, which basically led to 80 percent happening in their respective mobile browsers. Moreover, MOSH permits its users to post their favorite or personally created content right at their own website. This way, they can share this information to global audience.

The official launching of SEEK will be on December 14, 2007, and its use was exclusively demonstrated in the CTIA Wireless last October 23–25 at San Francisco. Before SEEK, however, there have already been two dimensions introduced. The first one focused on giving the ability of its users to upload as well as share useful content to a wider range of audience. The second MOSH dimension, meanwhile, provides the capability of MOSH users to customize their own device and download information.
