Nokia has been a known leader in the cellphone manufacturing industry. They have been one of the pioneers in creating good camera phones. Their camera phones are at par with low-end point and shoot digital cameras in the market. In the near future, Nokia would take a leap closer to HD (high definition) technology and enhanced their cellphone's video recording features.

In a few years, Nokia is set to lead the way to HD technology in mobile phones. Nokia's Chief Technology Officer, Tero Ojanpera, expressed his excitement with the onset of such technology. He said that technically, they are a couple of years away from the reality of HD technology integrated in consumers' cellphones. Expect better battery life when Nokia release their own line of cellphones with HD technology.

All these years, Nokia has been providing good camera phones. They have been offering good quality camcorders as well. The Nokia N95 is such a revolutionary cellphone that records videos that are close to television quality. The video camera industry, such as JVC, Panasonic and Samsung, might be hurt a bit with such progress as how the camera industry been adversely affected when Sony Ericsson and Nokia released good camera phones.

Come 2010 or 2011, we are all excited to see Nokia come out with such a promising technology.
