Porn vendors are now eyeing on the iPhone to produce paid content for subscribers mainly because of its relatively large screen.

The iPhone has a stunning 3.5 liquid crystal display with 320 x 480 pixels at 160 ppi. If you are watching a movie on this phone, you can just imagine the clarity and quality of the video. Since a number of phone carriers are already offering mobile TV, porn publishers would want to be on the same playing field as those companies who are selling content to mobile phone users.
During the AVN (Adult Video News) Awards in Las Vegas, porn companies acknowledged the trend and the power of cell phones and smartphones. These gadgets revolutionize how videos are being watched nowadays- complete mobility. And with iPhone's large screen, porn publishers take this particular handset as a potential distribution channel.
There may have to be some changes in making a porn video when it comes to production. Porn publishers may have to re-edit their videos to scrap off wide shots since it would be to small to be viewed on an iPhone screen. The videos would focus more on wide shots and close ups.
Mobile porn publishers are still testing the waters. Most cell phone operators are not yet open to the thought of adult content going through their portals. With the iPhone's Internet browser, porn companies can actually sell directly to mobile phone users eliminating the need to coordinate with network carriers. Porn companies can add an age-verification system in their website if this may be a problem to phone operators.
But the question is, do we really want porn in our phones? May be not, but for those who want to do so, there is now an option for you. It has always been a free world.
