Two-Day Event and Webcast Features Performances by Some of the Biggest Alternative Rock Bands of the Year



Though Christmas is still approaching, rock fans around the world will receive an early Christmas gift that will excite them!

Today AT&T announced that its Blue Room (website at www.attblueroom.com will feature the yearly event called ‘almost acoustic Christmas’ brought to you by KROQ band. Headquartered in LA, KROQ is considered one of the most influential rock stations in the country. For over 15 long years, KROQ station has been a center for alternative rock band performances for the annual ‘almost acoustic Christmas’ event.

All backstage interviews as well as footage of the concert will be available on a live basis at the blue room of AT&T at website www.attblueroom.com/music. You can access this footage on December 8th and 9th. Some of the bands to be featured include the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Bad Religion, The Shins, Angels & Airwaves, Feist, Paramore, Rise Against, Spoon, Jimmy Eat World as well as Serj Tankian.

Apart from this, you can also access select performances which have been archived in the blue room. This way you can relive your favorite performances throughout the holidays.

As per Dan York who is the content and programming head at AT&T, the blue room aims to bring fans a unique chance to experience their artists’ music in different ways. Through the showcase of this annual event, AT&T hopes to add to its existing customer base with new and diverse people.

According to Kevin Weatherly who is senior VP programming at radio KROQ/CBS, this tie-up with AT&T provides a fantastic way of reaching out to listeners and popularize the KROQ station further.

The blue room of AT&T enables rock fans across the globe to get closer to their favorite artists by means of onstage events, video footage etc. Till now the blue room has got a whopping response of over 120 million hits which has increased AT&T’s sales in its core competencies – video, voice, internet and wireless while also strengthening brand recall in the entertainment sphere.
