Sporty people and technology geeks would surely be delighted with the soon-to-be-launched cell phone from Samsung- the F110. The two big names in sports and cell phone industry come together to produce one of the more "athletic handsets" in the line up of mobile phones in the market today.

The Samsung F110 Adidas has the smartphone look, but with the feature of a basic hand phone. It has the basic bar-type look with a matching slider. It comes in a cool black color with the famous Adidas three-bar logo just below its big 2-inch LCD screen. Its screen pretty much occupies the entire frontal interface of the phone. Just below are the navigation keys and command buttons. To create a text message, you need to slide the phone downward, and there goes your keypads. Overall, the design of the phone is pretty sleek and neat. Not too bulky and slim enough to be carried by athletes wherever they may be, even if they are on running tracks.

Aside from the Adidas logo on the phone, why is this phone basically called the "athletic phone"? This is where the technology of Samsungnow comes in. This little baby actually has a heartbeat monitor to observe heart rate whenever you are jogging or doing some warm ups. It also has a step counter plus several applications related to sports, or at least, applications related to being fit.

Samsung puts in GPRS and EDGE technology on the F110. It also throws in a 2 megapixel built-in camera. If you wanted a little entertainment, you can tune in to your favorite FM radio station or play your favorite music with its MP3 player. You can also store a number of data with an extra memory card.

Pricing is not yet disclosed, but Samsung is rumored to launch this cell phone by the coming month. So if you were the kind of person who is the athletic type, the Adidas phone will not only make you look all sporty, you might as well take advantage of the "athletic" applications the Samsung F110 Adidas has to offer.
