Alex Welch, president of Photobucket, stated that the trend in photo sharing has gone from computer to mobile phones and that the market is constantly evolving and people wanted to share their "digital life moments" faster and easier to their family and loved ones. This is when Photobucket Mobile comes in.

In the future, Photobucket would be enhancing its mobile version portal by adding more options in viewing and sharing for images and videos. They would also like to add social networking links within their portal like MySpace, which is also developed by Fox Interactive Media. Soon, the company would also be launching mobile versions of other websites under its umbrella including Askmen, IGN Entertainment, FoxSports, RottenTOmatoes and Flektor.
