Kyocera Qualcomm


Kyocera, in its early days, manufactures printing accessories and ceramic items. It was first known as Kyoto Ceramic Company Ltd. way back 1959. It was Kazuo Inamori who founded what soon to be one of the more successful gadget manufacturer in Japan.

In 1983, the company started acquiring Yashica Camera Company Ltd. and Mita Industrial (photocopiers) in 2000. In the same year, Kyocera bought QUALCOMM and created Kyocera Wireless. In 2008, Kyocera Wireless partnered up with Sanyo to create Kyocera Sanyo. Soon after, Kyocera Wireless created a full line of cell phone products.



As early as 2001, Kyocera Wireless started offering to the market monochrome cell phone models. The first few cell phone models it has include the Kyocera 1135, 1155 and 2119. Until the year 2003, Kyocera created monochrome candybar cell phones. A year later Kyocera ventured in marketing colored cell phones and created more options for cell phones buyers by creating more designs that include clamshell phones and sliders.

Today, Kyocera Qualcomm is on track on producing top of the line cell phone handsets. The Kyocera E4600 is one of the latest phones on their shelf with a 2.2 inches colored TFT display. It comes in a slider design with a 2 megapixel camera phone. It can also take extra storage space via a microSD memory card. You can play your favorite video and music via its own media player.

The Neo E1100 is another great phone from Kyocera Qualcomm. It has a very unique design, illuminated with a light pipe. It has a glowing 2.2 inches QVGA display screen with a hidden OLED display on its outer screen. You can also take advantage of its Bluetooth technology and voice recognition feature. You can take pictures on the go with its 1.3 MP camera.

One of the most high end phones from Kyocera is the Solo E4000. It works with Windows Mobile 6 and has Windows Live and Windows Media player. Web fanatics can take advantage of Internet connectivity via Wi-Fi. You can also use Bluetooth to connect and for hands-free communication. You can store more data via microSD memory card. It also has a number of multimedia functions such as a 2 MP camera and a video recorder.
