Divisions of Siemens and Nokia are working together for Siemens HiPath MobileConnect Enterprise Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) Solution and dual-mode Nokia Eseries devices and Nokia Intellisync Device Management Software. The agreement provides design, development and testing standards to give mobile workers advanced capabilities using their dual-mode Nokia Eseries devices in a business FMC solution. Siemens Communications Inc. will now certify dual-mode Nokia Eseries devices as part of its partner program. Also as part of the agreement, Nokia will market and recommend the Siemens solution to its customers and Siemens Communications Inc. is planning to become a reseller of the Nokia Intellisync Device Management solution to its customers.


Siemens' HiPath MobileConnect solution delivers customers significant improvements in reachability, productivity and cellular cost savings by combining call control over the corporate VoIP network, Voice over Wireless LAN and the cellular network. By providing one-number reachability, a single voicemail system and seamless roaming between cellular and corporate WLAN networks, businesses can bypass the cellular network and route calls over the corporate wireless LAN. Ensuring Nokia's device management an business-optimized mobile devices interoperate with this solution creates a certified robust solution for the enterprise customer.

The HiPath MobileConnect solution will be deployed by Siemens at select internal sites utilizing Nokia Eseries devices and Nokia Intellisync software and trialed at a number of customer sites during Q2 supported by both companies.
