Kyocera Wireless unveiled the Kyocera Dorado KX13 CDMA handset. The manufacturer said the device is a slim bar-style phone with a large color screen and a front-facing speakerphone that is well suited for games or ringtones. A Kyocera spokesman could not provide carrier or pricing details for the device. "There is definitely still a need in the market for an attractive and functional bar-style phone at the lower-price tier, and Dorado is unlike anything we've ever done before," said Lee Ittner, vice president of global sales and marketing at Kyocera. The phone provides up to 3.8 hours of talk time and up to 160 hours of standby time. The Dorado KX13 also features an internal antenna, built-in LED flashlight, predictive text-input software and a WAP 2.0 browser in addition to standard features such as a scheduler, calculator, alarm clock, stopwatch, tip calculator and a world clock.
