Alltel has released a new wacky design in the new LG Wave (AX-380). The mid-range priced device in Alltel's lineup, positioned as an update to the AX-355 already available on the network. The LG Wave includes a 1.3MP camera and Bluetooth, which are standard fare for this class of device. External music controls and compatibility with microSD memory cards up to 2GB in size complement a fully featured MP3 player that is capable of playing MP3, WMA, AAC, and AAC+ format files, which should make the device more attractive to the younger demographic. A built-in GPS module also makes an appearance in the specification sheet.
As with most phones from the carrier these days, the LG Wave makes full use of its EV-DO high-speed data connection with a range of Alltel Axcess services. Compatible services include game and ringtone downloads through the Axcess Shop, Axcess TV, Axcess Search, and Celltop, in addition to normal web browsing.
The LG Wave is available now from Alltel. Specifications for the LG Wave (AX-380)
