Mobile phone needed?

I need a mobile phone but I don't know anything about them. Preferably, under 60. Can you recommend me anything pay as you go phone please?

There are a lot of companies that have pay as you go phones. The major companies have some problems though, such as T-Mobile and Cingular/AT&T.

Try a smaller company like Virgin Mobile. They have some fairly cheap phones, such as the Oyster. No camera or anything flashy, but it is a good reliable phone. My friend owns this kind of phone.
