T-Mobile Samsung SGH-t729 Messaging Phone - Blast

T-Mobile has released a new Samsung slider phone called the SGH-t729 to be marketed as the Blast, features a SureType QWERTY-style keypad for speedy typing, and includes features to make full use of it.

The Samsung Blast is the first handset from T-Mobile that is compatible with personal email accounts from AOL, Yahoo!, and Gmail, with all three fully integrated into the device. Better yet, a data plan is not required to utilize services from these accounts - email messages can be read and responded to for the same price as standard text messages. Instant messaging is also taken care of with compatibility with AIM, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, and even ICQ.

The phone also carries a 1.3MP camera and a 262k color screen, though it features a resolution of just 176x220 pixels. A microSD memory card slot supports cards up to 2GB in size, and can be used to store music for the MP3/AAC music player, with A2DP stereo Bluetooth compatibility a handy add-on. Quad-band GSM support also ensures the device is handy for frequent travelers.
