I am currently with Telus mobility Canada. I have friends in China and I can send them text messages without a problem but I cannot receive any. I have talked to Telus but they tell me that it's China's fault. My friends in China have contacted their phone company and say that their international text messages usually get through in other countries, I'm the exception...

This is sooo frustrating!

Telus says that it's service can send AND receive international text messages but I beg to differ. Is anyone else having this problem? I am thinking of switching to Fido because of Telus' poor service.

I doubt changing will help, I remember Bell couldn't even receive txt msgs (this was two years ago mind you) if you sent them through the internet and the person was out of province.

Anyways, maybe get your friends to send them to you via internet? Telus has a text msg web site. TELUS

dont bother switching to fido for text... their text service is just embarassing. i usually have a 48 hour delay to recieve and thats if they show up at all!!

I wonder if it's CDMA thing because I remember Bell would never send out text messages from their web site if the user was out of their service zone.
