The Weather Channel has arrived. Verizon Wireless announced that made-for-mobile video clips from The Weather Channel are now available to Verizon Wireless V CAST customers. The Weather Channel brings the latest weather forecasts, updates and information directly to customers' V CAST-enabled phones.

The Weather Channel programming on V CAST gives Verizon Wireless customers on demand access to frequently updated local, regional, national and severe weather forecasts, expressly produced for mobile customers. Verizon Wireless V CAST customers will also enjoy access to on-location severe weather coverage featuring The Weather Channel on-camera meteorologists and severe weather experts such as Jim Cantore and Stephanie Abrams.

TEEN PEOPLE celebrates the fourth annual Artists of the Year issue with a star-studded event featuring a special presentation to honoree Shakira and a live acoustic performance by Benji & Joel Madden of Good Charlotte. This marks CBS's first venture presenting its content on cell phones. V CAST subscribers will begin receiving video news segments from both CBS News and Paramount TV's "Entertainment Tonight" - produced specifically for mobile phones - as well as preview clips of many of CBS's top series including "CSI," "CSI: Miami," "CSI: NY," "Survivor," "The Amazing Race," "The King of Queens" and "Late Show with David Letterman." The CBS News segments for V CAST will include breaking stories, as well as features from broadcasts such as "CBS Evening News" and "The Early Show."

V CAST will carry clips from Letterman's monologue and Top 10 list as well as highlights from "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson." CBS and Verizon Wireless also plan to present behind-the-scenes footage, such as making-ofs and interviews with the casts of shows from the CBS prime time lineup.

Verizon and NBC Mobile bring video segments of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" to customers' V CAST-enabled phones.

V CAST customers can access the best of "Tonight" in the palm of their hands and get all the laughs from Jay's weeknight monologues and comedy sketch favorites. From the streets of L.A. in "Jaywalking," weekly "Headlines," and street correspondent pieces, fans won't miss a beat from the #1 show in late night television. With a few clicks on their phone's keypad, V CAST customers can access a total of four features at any given time, two of which will be refreshed daily.

Verizon announced that scenes and trailers from the WB Network shows "Everwood," "Gilmore Girls," "Smallville" and "Supernatural" will be available through the carrier's Vcast service.

Subscribers will be able to watch the video segments the day before the show airs on the WB. Also, original Looney Tunes and Hanna Barbera cartoon shorts will be available through Vcast from Warner Bros., including characters such as Bugs Bunny, Tweety, the Flintstones, the Jetsons and Scooby-Doo. The Vcast service also will feature trailers from upcoming motion picture releases from Warner Bros., Warner Independent Pictures and Warner Home Video.

Verizon V CAST is bringing the Fugees back on-stage, creating a historic live performance. Following the show, concert footage and audio recordings will be available exclusively to V CAST customers. The Fugees - Ms. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel - will world-premiere new songs From their unreleased album for fans clamoring for a follow-up to their 1996 album, "The Score," the biggest-selling hip-hop album of all time. Starting tonight after the show, V CAST customers can watch highlights from the Fugees's exclusive concert right on their V CAST-enabled phones. Both highlights from tonight's concert and concert clips from previous Fugees concerts will be available on V CAST.

An event entirely for the people, the Fugees will perform new music to a crowd of over 8,000 fans on one of Hollywood's hippest street corners - Hollywood and Vine. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are being distributed to fans in the Los Angeles area through local radio contests, TXT and PIX Messaging offers, at local area Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and by members of the Verizon Wireless Street Team.

V CAST Music customers will also get exclusive access to audio recordings from the show and have the ability to purchase recordings from the Fugees triumphant reunion performance on their V CAST Music-enabled phones. Verizon and Turner Broadcasting announced that V CAST customers can view content from Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) on their V CAST-enabled phones.

Drawing from the world's largest cartoon library, Cartoon Network will provide V CAST customers with video content from the network's original series, including The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, The Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Codename: Kids Next Door and Dexter's Laboratory.

V CAST customers who want to view edgy animated comedy and action series can download content from Adult Swim, Cartoon Network's late night sister service with content from original productions, including The Venture Bros., Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021 and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.

Verizon have plans to launch a live music service with concert footage from the band Live, pop-rocker Gavin DeGraw and emerging artist Cheyenne Kimball.

The new offering, dubbed Vcast Performances, will include downloadable clips from club and theater shows, Verizon-sponsored tours and special live performances. The service is being promoted tonight with an exclusive performance by Kimball at a New York City club.
