hw6500 6700 Release Delayed

Additional rumors are fueling speculation that the release of HP's new Mobile Messenger devices the company announced in February will be delayed. The devices have reportedly been delayed from late summer to November. Many pages and links referencing the iPAQ 6500 have been removed from HP's website. The delay may be due to the last minute addition of Wi-Fi to the device, as well as an upgrade to Windows Mobile 5.0, two features not in the original specifications on HP's website.

In the meantime, two other devices will likely launch before then: the hp6325 and an HP Smartphone (MS-based). The hp6325 will be similar to the hp6315 except it will be manufactured for Cingular users. I'm assuming that they've also improved the overall device reliability, but forgot to ask.
