Pragma Systems has released an enterprise level, high performance SSH client for Microsoft Pocket PC and Windows CE devices. This is a secured, encrypted solution for remotely connecting to servers with these handheld devices. Pragma's PocketVT includes both the new SSH protocol and the widely used telnet protocol. Secure Shell (SSH) is the industry standard protocol for secure remote access to replace Telnet.

Pragma's PocketVT provides support for both SSH1 and SSH2 protocols, advanced encryptions AES, 3DES & Blowfish, and multi-level data compression. Companies like Xerox, Browning (a leading sporting firearm maker in USA) and BioGen have deployed Pragma PocketVT software in their enterprises. Systems integrators Peak Technologies, EXE Technologies and Texas Barcode Systems have adopted Pragma's PocketVT handheld software offering for deploying among their supply chain customers.

Pragma PocketVT client features include:
  • Printing
  • Multi-byte character support (supports Asian languages)
  • Bar Code scanning using Symbol and Intermec devices
  • Soft-key Function and Control key support
  • Horizontal and Vertical Scrolling
  • Configurable command bar
  • Auto Logon
  • VT 100, 220, 320, 420 and ANSI Emulation

Pragma PocketVT runs in all versions of Pocket PC (2000, 2002, 2003) and Windows CE operating systems.
