Symbian Releases OS Version 9

Symbian Limited announced the launch of Symbian OS version 9, the latest for the popular smartphone operating system. The new version adds many new features, while also enabling the OS to be used in cheaper, mass-market phones, in addition to the high-end smartphones targeted by earlier versions. Enabling multimedia phones ? v9?s multimedia capabilities support Symbian OS licensees? development of phones for specific markets.
