I know this question gets asked all the time all over the place but I haven't come across any good information yet so here it goes: I have a Sprint Blackberry 8300 and I'm looking for a legitimate unlocking code (preferably free) so that I can use my Cingular service with the Sprint hardware. If anybody can point me towards a creditable site or if you would like to just give me the code with the steps on how to do it that would great as well!! Any help you can give me will be beneficial.

Here is the problem for your Studley:
Sprint = CDMA network
Cingular (ATT) = GSM Network
By definition the hardware inside the two phones (Assuming the same Blackberry model from each) is completely different. You can't get a code that will help you here. If it were a Blackberry from Tmobile you'd have some options....

OK...so I have the Cingular 8300 and I need to unlock so that I can switch to Tmobile. If I understand correctly, these two networks are GSM and should have compatible hardware, correct? Where can I find the info to unlock my phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

| I know GSM is not compadible with CDMA, but does anyone know if you can unlock a sprint 8830 for use with other cdma carries such as Verizon? I know they carry the 8830, but i am relly like the black better than the white and the red. Plus the sprint bb has better themes. Thanks! |
