HP and Vodafone 3G UMTS and HSDPA Notebooks

HP has announced plan to combine with Vodafone to provide customers around the world with access to Vodafone’s global 3G (UMTS) and 3G broadband HSDPA built into future HP Broadband Wireless business notebooks.

This will enable customers to enjoy secure wireless access to e-mail, the Internet and critical business data while living, working or traveling throughout major Vodafone markets including Western Europe and the Pacific region.

The first notebook to support built-in 3G/3G broadband is the HP Compaq 6400 Notebook PC series. Available with HP Broadband Wireless, this notebook includes configurations with integrated wireless WAN capabilities that will be expanded later this year to include support for Vodafone’s 3G/3G broadband high-speed wireless network.
