Vital Engineering has made available its Bluetooth OBD-II connector for use with Microsoft Windows, Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Palm OS handhelds. Currently there's a demo version available for Windows Mobile Smartphones (SPV E200, SPV C500, SPV M1000, SPV M2000 and compatible models).
The devices gives users access to access vehicle sensor information using the OBD Bluetooth transmitter without a cable. The adapter does not use a batter since it uses power supplied by the car's OBD-II connector.
The OBD-II Bluetooth transmitter can be purchased by itself, or with additional Bluetooth hardware if the PC or Pocket PC is not Bluetooth equipped. The company can provide a complete solution, including training and consulting services.
