As first reported by phonescoop, the FCC approved two Pantech phones, each with indications they are coming to Cingular in the FCC documents. Until now, only Pantech's CDMA handsets have been announced for the US. Both phones are low cost handsets that are small on features, but each is small physically as well. * C120: A slim dual-band GSM/GPRS candybar only 1 mm thicker than the SLVR. Features a speakerphone and VGA camera. * C300: A tiny tri-band (850/1800/1900) GSM/GPRS clamshell with a color external screen, speakerphone and VGA camera. Post your details here, we'll keep you posted as well.

Cingular will offer the Pantech’s “Slim Series” beginning with the C300 for prepaid GoPhone customers. The Pantech C300 is a small flip phone—the vendor and Cingular are touting it as “the world’s smallest camera flip phone”—that measures less than three inches long, less than two inches wide and three-quarters of an inch thick. It sports a color screen, a VGA camera with zoom and flash, MP3 ringtones and an SMS/MMS/IM client and e-mail messaging.
Cingular’s GoPhone prepaid service offers two service plans, “Pick Your Plan” and “Pay As You Go.” “Pick Your Plan” offers monthly payments without a long-term contract, and “Pay As You Go” is a more traditional prepaid offering.
