Finally some Fido news. Motorola and Fido launched the Canadian availability of the MOTOPEBLs. Inspired by nature and the feel of a stone worn smooth by water, the MOTOPEBL represents a radically different approach to mobile phone design. The brainchild of Yoon Ho Choi and Kio Lee, members of Motorola's design team in Korea, the MOTOPEBL was created with a soft-touch texture and rounded contours that form a sculpted clamshell shape that sits gently in the palm of the hand. The Zen-like oval features a vertical external display and a unique dual-hinge mechanism that allows the MOTOPEBL to open like no other phone, effortlessly sliding open with just one hand.

The MOTOPEBL allows users to download data with ease, browse the Internet and share multimedia files without pause. It also incorporates Bluetooth hands-free profile - which enables users to communicate wirelessly with a compatible Bluetooth headset - and an embedded VGA camera with video recorder and playback. Speaker independent voice recognition and quad-band technology ensures that consumers are as connected as they want to be - while on the go.
