TELUS and HTC Bring HTC Touch in Canada.

TELUS and HTC have combined for the HTC Touch in Canada. The HTC Smartphone features a new underlying screen gesture technology called TouchFLO. Developed by HTC, TouchFLO enables finger touch scrolling and navigation of menus, lists, Web pages, documents, messages and more. Consumers simply sweep their finger up the display to launch an animated, three-dimensional interface comprising three screens: Contacts, Media and Applications. The interface can then be spun by swiping a finger right or left across the display, providing efficient access to the features consumers use most. HTC has simplified text input on the touch screen by including a large on-screen keyboard with predictive text capabilities.

Users can be entertained with multimedia access, including MP3 and video playback via WMP 10 Mobile. The HTC Touch also features a 2.0 megapixel high resolution digital camera with video capture and playback, and Bluetooth, hands-free car kits or for use as a wireless modem. Clients can enjoy the great multimedia features of the HTC Touch out of the box with the included wired stereo headset, SanDisk(R) 1 GB memory card and USB cable.

Users can stay informed by taking advantage of the new HTC-designed homescreen which provides one-touch access to emails, text messages, calendar appointments and contacts, as well as current weather conditions and forecasts for hundreds of cities around the world. For secure, real-time access to email, calendar, contacts, and task information, clients can use TELUS Mobile Email, which is designed to integrate seamlessly with the HTC Touch and Windows Mobile platform.

The HTC Touch provides access to CDMA's superior coverage, including access to high-speed, broadband-like wireless data downloads with EVDO - Canada's fastest coast-to-coast 3G wireless network.
