Virgin Mobile is once again challenging the traditional mobile phone contract plan with the introduction of its "All Nighter" plan. Customers can get unlimited local calls starting at 6 p.m. and they don't have to pay extra fees, such as system access fees, or sign a contract. Available for $24 per month, the All Nighter allows customers to enjoy unlimited evening calling from 6 p.m. until 5 a.m., seven days a week. The plan also includes voicemail, call display and call waiting; daytime minutes are just 20 cents, which cost up to 40 per cent less than the competition. For an additional $7 per month, customers can add unlimited local incoming calls. Virgin Mobile's research shows that its customers' peak calling time is 6 p.m., which is also when they want their evening minutes to start. Mobile customers no longer need to watch the clock and wait until 7, 8 or 9 p.m. for the value in their plan to kick in, and they don't need to pay extra fees to get an early start. I have the same thing with Rogers (but ends at 8am) however, i picked it up some 5 years ago and haven't changed! would be nice to have the carriers go back to better plans of the past.
