How to reset GPS to show the correct current time?

GPS is a hand held Garmin 12. I would be happy if someone could provide a step by step explanation of the procedure. I've been wanting to use it for ages.

A typical GPS receiver calculates its position using the signals from four or more GPS satellites. Four satellites are needed since the process needs a very accurate local time, more accurate than a clock can provide, so the receiver internally solves for time as well as position.
So, if you want to reset your GPS to show the current correct time, you must go to settings and change your “time zone”.
