Hey everyone,

I always found it annoying that I could only use content supplied by Verizon on my phone, since that's the service provider I use, but I just came across a really interesting article at Technology Review that explains that is no longer the case. Now, service providers are allowing independent companies, such as Traffiz from New York, to supply their customers with file sharing capabilities. Check out the full article here:

I guess CDMA providers felt that locking their users out to content just wasn't profiting them. I figure CDMA providers were being left out cold with pissed off consumers and GSM phones were a bit more open to 3rd party software/items. So then CDMA open the doors and GSM must follow suit. Makes sense, just a thought, but great to see we don't have to sit around with crappy Telus/Verizon content.
