I am currently on a family plan and my hubby is about to go overseas, does anyone know if I can just put his phone on hold instead of cancelling service?

Well if it's for a month no. If it's overseas for duty then wireless carriers usually permit a 'hold period'. They are supposed to be flexible with that. If it's really extended then it's quite possible to put it on hold but you'd have to call them. Let us know what they say.

What did they say? Is it a contract? I don't think you can cancel or you pay 20 bucks per month it still has on contract.
