Cingular 2125 LCD Problem - Unlocking Phone

My LCD is not working and I'm trying to boot up and unlock the phone to make outgoing calls until I replace the LCD. If I remember correctly, I should wait about 1 minute, press the left side "multifunction" key (right under LCD), enter my Unlock code, press the left "multifunction" key again. Is this correct?

I think it should be as simple as entering subside code and clicking enter (whatever button corresponds to what would be available on the screen, usually the right button.)
