Bell released the BlackBerry 7130e business phone for Bell customers; an EV-DO enabled device featuring a sleek new handset and keyboard design that provides wireless access to complete phone, wireless e-mail and data features for mobile professionals. The BlackBerry 7130e is the first EV-DO enabled handheld data device from Bell, providing unbeatable average download speeds of 400 to 700 kbps, which makes it easy to download large attachments, view jpegs, browse Web pages and take advantage of other feature-rich data applications. The BlackBerry 7130e features a candybar design with raised keys for typing. RIM's SureType keyboard technology allows users to quickly and accurately dial phone numbers and type messages without the limitations of traditional phone keypads. The BlackBerry 7130e will also support wireless tethering on the 1xEV-DO network, providing broadband-like connectivity for laptop users.
Other features include a high-resolution LCD screen that provides
enhanced indoor and outdoor viewing, large dedicated Send and End phone
keys and an intuitive user interface, speakerphone, dual-band network
support for nationwide roaming, 64 MB of flash memory, 8 MB SRAM for
ample storage of data and applications, and Bluetooth support.
