Simens issues a warning pertaining to a potential hardware defect that could lead to hearing loss. All 65-generation mobiles face a potential sound malfunction. The melody that indicates the shutdown of the mobile may resound at a very high volume in some cases. In the event of running out of battery while making a call, the handset and hence the shut-down sound are very close to the user?s ear.
To eliminate this potential malfunction and thus preventing the unusual event of encountering hearing nuisance, we recommend deactivating the shut-down melody of your mobile. Follow the instructions in the link below to perform the deactivation. In order to correct this potential malfunction we have already created a new software version for all 65-generation mobile phones.
This is how you deactivate the shut-down sound of your mobile (C65, CX65, M65, S65, SL65): Visit this link: http://www.siemens-mobile.com/cds/frontdoor/0,2241,hq_en_0_65282_rArNrNrNrN,00.html
