Verizon Releases Dual-hinge Samsung SCH-U740 Phone

Verizon released a dual-hinge Samsung SCH-U740 cell phone. Dual-hing means it flips like a phone but opens horizontally to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard.

Text messaging and email using Wireless Sync, Verizon Wireless' proprietary email solution, enable synchronization with the SCH-U740 and PCs. Open the flip vertically and the SCH-U740 is a thin clamshell phone with a 1.3-megapixel camera with flash, Bluetooth capabilities, microSD card slot and extensive voice commands. The SCH-U740 also features a 2.2-inch, 176 x 220 px TFT display. Other key features include:
