Alcatel Ring Back Tones on Bell Mobility

Alcatel announced that Bell Mobility is using Alcatel's Personalized Ring Back Tone (PRBT) solution to deliver their new Caller Ring Tune service. With the Caller Ring Tune service, Bell Mobility customers can now replace their traditional ring tone with customized music, celebrity voices or sound effects. Following a series of recent acquisition, contract and deployment announcements, the Bell Mobility project further reinforces Alcatel's growing presence in the North American mobile market.

By enabling the customer receiving the call to personalize how they would like their callers to be greeted, new services like Bell Mobility's Caller Ring Tune turn placing an ordinary phone call into a customizable user-centric experience. Intuitive interfaces built into the Alcatel solution make it easy for subscribers to self-subscribe to the service and purchase or change their ring back tones at any time. Subscribers can also manage their profiles as well as allocate specific ring back tones to individual contacts or groups of callers. For example, one tone can be chosen for a family member, one for a colleague and another for a friend. Subscribers can even allocate special sounds to callers for important days such as birthdays or holidays. Alcatel is continuously adding new features to enhance the attractiveness of the PRBT service. End users experience will be soon enriched with video ring back tone.

The new contract with Bell Mobility is another illustration of the business value of Alcatel's PRBT solution, adding to Alcatel's already strong PRBT footprint in Asia. Leveraging its unique expertise in complex and multi vendor network integration and adaptation, Alcatel is well positioned to help carriers determine the best implementation methods adapted to the specifics of their existing network capability. In addition, Alcatel provides reliable charging and billing solutions to support entertainment services including PRBT.
