This thread is for all Rogers Wireless customers looking to post questions about their network, but most of all, praise or complaints against Rogers. If you've had a bad experience then post it here. If you've had a good experience, post it here. Whether it's customer service or cell phone issues, discuss them all here within the forum. Inform others about great deals, new cell phones, or bad experiences.

Since the acquisition of Microcell, Rogers Wireless customers can use the Fido network for free until the end of Feb. 2005. This means that GSM enabled cell phones are able to use the Fido towers for reception, that means a greater coverage area for Rogers users. However, there's a problem. After Feb. 05 you will be charged $5.00 for the use of the Fido network. The winners are the Fido users who get a hgue expansion on their coverage, however, again, they'll have to pay a fee to use it as well.

The problem I've had are posted in this forum. Hopefully Rogers doesn't just 'apply' the surcharge without telling me. Or they may put something in REAL small print that says I need to cancel the coverage or the charge will automatically come into effect. They did this with new voicemail charges, real small small print. I live in an urban center and have no real use for the Fido network. Rogers is pretty much everywhere so the additional coverage useless within the city, and I'm sure the Fido network doesn't stretch too far outside the city limits so really I don't need the coverage from Microcell.

So far Rogers seems to have the least complaints on this board....!
